Palakkad: BMS District Secretary K. Rajesh said that the Left government in Kerala is using the Devaswom Board to loot temple properties including temple land. He was speaking by inaugurating the dharna held in front of the civil station under the auspices of the Malabar Devaswom Employees Sangh district committee.
He also reiterated that nine and a half years of left government has led Kerala to a debt trap of 4.5 lakh crores. He said that the role of the Devaswom minister in the theft of more than 4 kg of gold by renovating the Dwarapalaka sculptures and door panels of the Sabarimala shrine in 2019 should also be included in the investigation and the government should be ready to hand over the investigation to the central agencies.
Even the Congress party, which led the right-wing government, cannot escape the responsibility of the gold theft in the Sabarimala temple. He said that the theft of gold from Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, Nagapatam in Etumanurappa’s Sri Kovil and many small and big temples in Kerala should be brought under investigation and the government’s move to seize tens of thousands of acres of temple land is a challenge to the believers.
