In the coming 4-6 months, 2 new cafe racer motorcycles will be launched in the Indian market from the leading two-wheeler brands.
The festive season of Diwali holds utmost significance for the auto brands as well as buyers in the Indian market. It is considered highly auspicious for purchasing new vehicles and hence generally higher sales volumes are reported during this period. The Diwali 2025 is barely 2-3 months away as we are already in August 2025 and hence, the leading two-wheeler brands in the country have started readying their new models. In this piece, we will focus only on the upcoming cafe racer motorcycles in India by 2025-26.
1. Triumph Thruxton 400: Triumph India will launch the Thruxton 400 cafe racer on Aug 6, 2025 in the domestic market. The motorcycle was spotted in flesh last week during its TVC shoot in the outskirts of Pune. The cafe racer will be the fifth 400cc motorcycle in Triumph portfolio after the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, Speed T4 and Scrambler 400 XC. It is likely to be positioned between Speed T4 and Speed 400 with a starting price of around Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The overall styling of the Thruxton 400 is heavily inspired by the Speed Triple 1200 R. True to its cafe racer character, it flaunts a front cowl, semi-fairing, teardrop fuel tank and dual-tone paint scheme with stripes. The bike is likely to be equipped with multiple premium features such as semi-digital instrument console, clip-on handlebars, 17-inch alloy wheels, USD front suspension and dual-channel ABS.

Mechanically, the Thruxton 400 will carry the same 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is on duty at all the other bikes in Triumph’s 400 portfolio. It makes top power of 40 bhp and peak torque of 37.5 Nm while coupled with a 6-speed transmission. These figures are likely to be the same. Stay tuned to this page for more details.
2. Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750: Royal Enfield is developing a bigger 750cc portfolio of motorcycles and the first model under this is likely to be the Continental GT-R 750. It has already been spotted on several occasions and sources claim that testing is in the final stages. We can expect the cafe racer to break cover at the EICMA 2025 in November.

Royal Enfield has built a new 750cc platform which will spawn multiple models including the Continental GT-R 750. Internally codenamed as R1E, it will be the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to boast of dual front disc brakes. The styling of the cafe-racer takes cues from the racing model of Continental GT 650, which takes part in the GT Cup Racing. The Continental GT-R 750 is likely to become the most expensive RE bike till date upon its launch in India in the first quarter of 2026.
