Australia’s game against South Africa in the Champions Trophy was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of persistent rain in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
The umpires came out and spoke with groundstaff at about 11:45 GMT and they called the match off at 12:15.
Both sides won their opening matches so now have three points in Group B and a win in their final game would guarantee qualification for the semi-finals.
The abandonment means England know they will reach the last four with wins against Afghanistan on Wednesday and South Africa on Saturday, but a defeat in either game would see Jos Buttler’s side eliminated.
