A big update has come out for the candidates preparing for the Common University Entrance Test (UG) Examination. The National Testing Agency has launched the new website “cuet.nta.nic.in” for CUET UG (Cuet UG 2025). All information related to examination will be available on this platform. Candidates can check the list of participating universities and institutions. However, NTA has not posted any new post on the website so far.
NTA helpline number and email support have also been issued for disposal of fees payment related problems. This year candidates will be able to do transactions through SBI, Canara Bank and HDFC Bank.
Application process will start soon
The CUET UG application process will start soon. According to media reports, the application portal can open anytime this week. This year, many changes have been made in the exam on the recommendations of the expert panel. Last year, the examination has been conducted in hybrid mode in various cities across the country between 15 and 31 May. The results were declared on 30 June. This year also the examination can be held in May or June.
Candidates must know these changes related to CUET UG
- This year CUET UG exam will be held in Computer Based Test Mode (CBT). The examination was conducted in hybrid format last year.
- Candidates will be allowed to select CUET UG, which are not included in class 12th.
- Apart from this, the NTA has reduced the number of subjects to 37. Earlier, some 63 subjects were included in CUET. In the course of the subjects which have been abolished, the admission of candidates will be based on the score received in the General Aptitude Test.
- Now the exam will be conducted not only in 33 languages but in 13 different languages. It includes Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Maratha, Telugu and Urdu.
- The domain has also reduced the specific subject. Now candidates will be given the option of 29 not 23 specific subjects. Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Teaching Aptitude, Entrepreneurship and Engineering Graphic have been removed.
- Now the examination duration of all subjects will be 60 minutes. The number of questions will also be the same. Alternative questions have been removed. Now all questions will be mandatory
