Champions Trophy 2025: Teams qualified for semi-finals

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025being played in Pakistan and the UAE, is slowly reaching its business end with the group games gradually wrapping up.

Eight competing teams in the 2025 Champions Trophy were divided into two groups of four each. India, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan make up Group A while Group B comprises Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan.

Teams from each group play each other in single-headed round-robin matches with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

Group A was settled early with both India and New Zealand winning their opening two matches to seal the semi-final berths. The Indian cricket team beat the Kiwis in the final group game to win the group.

Pakistan and Bangladesh are out of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Australia became the first team from Group B to secure a semi-final berth in the tournament but eventually finished runners up to South Africa.

The Indian cricket team will be playing Australia in semi-final 1 scheduled in Dubai on March 4. Consequently, New Zealand will play in the second semi-final vs South Africa in Lahore on March 5.

If India qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final on March 9, the summit clash will be played in Dubai. In any other scenario, Lahore will be the host for the title decider.
