Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans were left taken aback on Tuesday when the makers revealed via a promo that Tapu and Sonu will finally tie the knot in the upcoming episodes. The promo featured the two young characters dressed in their respective wedding attires as Tapu announces, “Hamare shaadi ho gaye, hume aashirwaad dijiye.”
While champaklal and jethalal accept sonu as their Daughter-In-LAW, Bhide Tells Tapu, “Tum Mere Jamai Kabhi Nahi Nahi Bann Sakte”. Watch the promo here:
TMKOC Fans React As Tapu Marries Sonu
Soon after the promo was shared, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Fans reacted to it and expressed surprise. While some argued that ongoing track might be bhide’s dream, others argued that the ‘ekmev secretary’ of the gokuldham social will never accept this marriage. “Yeh Sapna Kuch Jyada Hi Lamba Nahi Chal Raha Hai?” One of the fans Wrote. “Bhide master ab sapne se jaagne ka samay aa gaya hai.
A Look At Tapu’s History With The Bhide Family
For the last 16 years, the equation between Tapu and Sonu has been a matter of concern for Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Bhide has always feared his daughter falling for Jethalal’s son. In multiple episodes, we have seen Bhide expressing disappointment with Tapu’s behaviour. He and Jethalal have also always been at the loggerheads in the show.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running successfully for 16 years now. Previously, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, the show’s maker Asit Kumarr Modi talked about creating a TMKOC universe when he told us, “People love TMKOC. It’s been 15 years and people are still watching it. One can watch the show not only on television but on OTT, YouTube, and other platforms too. That’s why I felt that I should do something with the characters of the show. Today Jethalal, Babita, Dayaben, Sodhi and other characters of the show have become household names. They are like everyone’s family members. We have been getting love from the audience for 15 years now and therefore, I thought of creating a universe.”
