The contractor died in a road accident near NPGC Gopi Bigha in Narari Kala Khurd police station area of Aurangabad. The deceased has been identified as Vinod Singh (50), a resident of Eghara village of NTPC Khaira police station area.

The accident occurred at around 8 pm on Wednesday night. Vinod Singh used to work as contractual work in NPGC and BRBCL. They were returning home by bike after handling work as usual. Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle hit his bike. Taking advantage of the darkness, the driver escaped from the spot.
Angry people jammed road
As soon as the incident was reported, the police station officer Prabhunath Prakash reached the spot with the police force. Angry people blocked the Barun NTPC route. The police is engaged in controlling the situation. The family of the deceased is a son and a daughter. The daughter is married. The son is working outside after studying engineering. The police will send the body for postmortem after the police jam is removed. There is chaos in the family due to the incident.
