The iconic television show CID has been giving fans one surprise after another. From the sudden exit of Shivaji satamwho portrayed ACP Pradyuman in the show, to Parth Samthaan’s unexpected entry – the show has left the audiences in high anticipation as they wait to discover what comes next.

Fans were devastated with the sudden departure of Shivaji Satam, who has been playing the role of ACP Pradyuman for years. In one of the episodes, ACP Pradyuman was shown dead after enemy Barboza planned a bomb blast. In the meantime, the showrunners introduced a new character to the CID team – ACP Ayushman. After a hiatus of five years from television, actor Parth Samthaan entered CID as ACP Ayushman.

Although fans were delighted for Parth’s comeback, they were eagerly waiting for ACP Pradyuman’s return. In a recent Instagram post, Shivaji Satam left a cryptic message, leaving fans excited about his potential comeback. In a recent post the actor quoted one of the famous lines of his character. “Kuch toh gadbad hai???” hinting at his return to the show.

While there has been no official confirmation yet, as soon as the post dropped, it created high anticipation among the fans. One fan commented, “Matlab samaj gaya sir…welcome back sir.” Another wrote, “Comeback loading,” while one account remarked, “Finally the soul of CID returns..Waiting for your comeback sir.” This post has received an overwhelming amount of responses from the fans with nearly 12,000 likes and around a thousand shares.

Earlier, Shivaji Satam opened up about his exit from CID, explaining he had no clue that makers would end his track. As per the Bombay Times report the actor said he will be on break in May this year to spend time with his son, who lives abroad. “As of now, I am just taking a break and am going to enjoy my life. I have worked hard, and everyone deserves a break,” Satam told the outlet.

Started in 1998, CID is considered one of the longest-running television shows in India. The show had completed its 1500th episode by March 2018 and the last episode aired in October of the same year. The iconic show was renewed for a second season in 2024 on TV and began to stream on Netflix from February 2025.
