Vasco spent the month of September, but after seven games, the sequence could not resist the visit to Allianz Parque. After conceding three goals in the first half, Fernando Diniz’s team was defeated 3-0 by Palmeiras in a game that didn’t even need additions in the second stage. Flaco López (twice) and Vitor Roque returned Alviverde to the vice-leadership of the Brasileirão, now with 52 points.
The home team solved the match in just 25 minutes. In the mark of six, Flaco received from Veiga and opened the scoring. At 17, the Argentine took advantage of the mess of Hugo Moura and Lucas Oliveira and expanded in the small area. Then Vitor Roque received from the center forward in the area and gave final numbers to the score.
After that, Vasco balanced the actions a little more, but practically did not threaten and it was Palmeiras who was closer to expanding. Vitor Roque even scored a fourth goal, but the bid was annulled by impediment.
Vasco stopped at 30 points and saw his reaction to be braked momentarily. In the middle of the table, the team receives Vitória, in São Januário, at 16h next Sunday (5).
