Taking strict action against the frequent road accidents in the state, the division bench of the High Court has sought reply from the Central and State Governments by 6th November. The petition urged that the entry and operation of heavy commercial vehicles within the Jaipur Municipality limits be restricted. At the same time, the safety standards and legal provisions set by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways should be followed. There should be effective implementation of legal provisions through joint enforcement operations of all agencies.
