Chennai Power Cut On February 13: TANGEDCO Announces Electricity Shutdown In Multiple Areas On Thursday

Chennai Power Cut: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has announced electricity shutdown in multiple areas in Chennai on February 13, Thursday. The supply will be cut for five hours from 09.00 am to 02.00 pm for maintenance work. Supply shall be resumed earlier if the work is completed on time. Around 40 areas will be affected, including: Porur, East Mogappair and Redhills.

Porur Power Cut: Iyyappanthangal, RR Nagar, Kattupakkam, Pushpa Nagar, Annai Indira Nagar, Part of Valasaravakkam, Porur Garden Phase 1,2 orur, part of Vanagaram, Baraniputhur, Karambakkam, Samayapuram, Ponni Nagar, Chettiyar Agaram, Part of Poonamallee Road, Periya Kolathuvancheri, Maduram Nagar, Thelliaragaram.

East Mogappair Power Cut: Elango Nagar, MORTHY NAGAR, Sathiyavathy Nagar, Officers Colony, Pink Avenue, EB Colony, Rathinam Street.

Redhills Power Cut: Eswaran Nagar, Pammadukulam Colony, Indira Nagar, Throom, Solaismman Nagar Gandhi Nagar.

In another Update, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast pleasant weather conditions for Chennai in the coming days. The weather body has also informed of dry conditions to prevail in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from February 13 to 17. With the monsoon season almost over in Tamil Nadu, it is cold in a few places in the state while most places are sunny in the afternoon.

Tamil Nadu received good rainfall during the northeast monsoon. Most water bodies were in good condition. However, the cold wave was severe after the monsoon season ended.
