Vince Gilligan’s next series for Apple TV+ is casting a familiar face. The writer-director’s next is an untitled sci-fi series, which will be led by Better Call Saul‘s Rhea Seehorn. The filmmaker and the streaming service teased some details about the upcoming sh which has left fans intrigued about what it could be about. Check out Apple TV+’s post below!
Vince Gilligan’s next series for Apple TV+
Creator Gilligan and Apple TV+ teased the show with a simple line, “Happiness is Contagious.” The image included is of a petri dish in which a smiley face is created with a cotton swab. There aren’t many details released yet, but the collaboration between Gilligan and Seehorn is sure to be interesting.
In February, Gilligan had told Deadline that he had written the show specifically for Seehorn. He shared, “She plays someone who’s trying very hard to be good. She’s a bit of a damaged hero, but she’s a hero nonetheless. And it’s just a pleasure to work with her because she’s just the best, and she is so sweet and kind and talented. I can’t say enough good about her.”

The streaming service has so much faith in the Breaking Bad creator that they have already said yes to two seasons of the genre-bending drama. The sci-fi series, which has been compared to Steven Spielberg’s ETwas filmed last year in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
While Seehorn has described the show as “sci-fi but in a more psychological kind of sci-fi way,” the untitled series will be told through her character’s perspective. The Deadline report also revealed that the show is set in the present day “while putting a tweak on it, bending reality and focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way.”
