VIJAYAWADA: YSRC student wing leaders Panuganti Chaitanya and A. Ravichandra criticised the coalition government for irregularities in the Mega DSC results.
Speaking at the YSRC central office on Wednesday, they criticised the government, led by minister N. Lokesh, for undermining transparency by not releasing the merit list and sending results directly to candidates via messages. They claimed this move facilitates the sale of teacher posts, sidelining deserving candidates.
The leaders pointed out that historically, DSC results included merit lists based on reservation and roster policies, ensuring transparent teacher recruitment. However, the current government’s failure to publish these lists has raised suspicions of manipulation. They highlighted errors in the DSC key and TET mark revisions, noting that 60,000 candidates were allowed mark corrections, fueling doubts. They further highlighted that despite candidates raising concerns and approaching courts, the government is allegedly rushing to fill posts covertly.
The leaders stated that the Mega DSC saw 3.12 lakh candidates apply for 16,347 posts, but the lack of transparency has sparked widespread concern among aspirants. They added that the YSRC demands an end to these practices, accusing the government of jeopardising candidates’ futures.
