Garena has rolled out a Diwali-themed update for Free Fire Maxbringing changes to the user interface, in-game rewards, and events. The celebration began on October 3 and will continue until October 26, 2025.
The in-game menu now sports a festive look with diyas, rangolis, and other decorations to mark the occasion. Players will also notice gameplay changes on the Bermuda map, including the addition of a new Dark Zone.
The Dark Zone offers high-tier loot but continuously damages Gloo Walls, making it a risky hotspot. A special lamp will also appear during this phase, applying debuffs to players until it’s captured. Once secured, it grants buffs such as shield points, an extra revival chance, and improved loot.
Players can light diyas at different locations across the map to earn rewards. Each location brightens up as diyas are lit, and after lighting three, the area fully illuminates.
