The cooking event brings a brand new item type to Grow a Garden, called food items. By using the food items, players can obtain the new Gourmet Seed packs, Gourmet Eggs, and exclusive rewards. All Cooking Recipes in Grow a Garden
Before you start your chef journey, knowing the cooking recipes for sandwich, burger, waffle, and more is a must. Here is the list of food items you can make in Grow a Garden, along with the main ingredients for them. Remember, if you have submitted the key ingredients, it will be enough.
Moreover, there are multiple combinations of fruits for specific food itemsso make sure you try them out for a bigger food item. After you have added the essential items for each cooking recipe, adding more fruits will not make a difference. They are replaceable, so players can add any fruits to complete the 5-ingredient count if they wish to.
The rarity of the food changes depending on the fruit’s rarity. So, if you want higher rarity ones, the ingredients must be of a better rarity. Apart from common cooking recipes, you will find all the Prismatic recipes in Grow a Garden from our table below.

How to Cook Food Items in Grow a Garden
To cook food items in the game, players must know the proper ingredients first. Once you have the required items, go to the new cooking area of the lobby. Now, follow the simple steps below and get your delicious meal:
- Hold the fruit required for the food item and press the E key when near the Cooking Pot.
- Once you submit the required ingredients, the board on the left will show the time it will take to cook the item.
- You can either remove items from the ingredients list or click the green COOK button under the pot.
- After clicking the button, the timer will start on top of the pot, and once it is done, go near the pot and press the E button to claim the food.
How to Give Food Items to the Pig NPC in Grow a Garden
The Pig NPC, aka Chris P, is the master chef who will judge your cooking skills. Look at the timer above his head that changes every hour. This is the craving timer that decides what the NPC wants as food next.
For example, if the speech bubble above Chris P says, “HotDog would be nice”, giving him that item will increase your chances for better rewards. That said, here is how you can submit food to the new Pig NPC:
- Walk over to Chris P NPC and press the E key to open the dialogue box.
- Now, hold the food item and click the “Try this food I cooked up!”
- After a small assessment of your cooking skills, the Pig will give you rewards.
