Kerala’s local body elections scheduled for Nov-Dec 2025. Voter list updates underway
Thiruvananthapuram: Local body elections in Kerala will be held in November–December, state election commissioner A Shajahan said on Monday.
He added that the voter list will be updated once more and that the new governing bodies should assume charge before December 20.
The state election commission has requested the Central Election Commission to fix the dates after the local body polls. A Shajahan expressed hope that the commission would take an appropriate decision.
The commission has also asked to postpone the radical voter list revision, noting that both the summary electoral roll (SIR) revision and the local body elections are conducted by the same officials.
