FYJC CAP round 1: The Maharashtra School Education Department has released the First Year Junior College (FYJC) 2025 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round 1 seat allotment list. Students who registered for the Class 11 admission process can now check and download their seat allotment result from the official portal — mahafyjcadmissions.in.Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round can confirm their admissions between June 30 and July 7. Admission confirmation is mandatory within this window to secure the allotted seat. The second round of the FYJC admission process is scheduled to begin on July 9.Over 12 lakh students compete for Class 11 seats across MaharashtraThis year, approximately 12,71,295 students registered for the FYJC Class 11 admission 2025, competing for more than 20 lakh seats in institutions affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board. The CAP admission process began on May 26 and concluded on June 5.The allotment list includes candidates from five major urban regions: Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad, Nagpur, Amravati, and Nashik. As per the board, a total of 12,75,000 seats will be allotted through the CAP process.In-house quota extended for government and local schoolsThe Maharashtra government has also announced an extension of the in-house quota policy. The 10% in-house quota will now apply to schools and junior colleges managed by the same educational institution within a district. Students who passed Class 10 from schools under the same management running junior colleges will be eligible for this quota. Of this, 50% of the in-house seats will be reserved in government and local body schools.Candidates will also receive SMS notifications with details of their seat allotment, making it easier to track their status. Those not allotted a seat in round 1 can participate in round 2, beginning July 9.
