Veteran actress and politician Nafisa Ali Sodhi, who was diagnosed with stage 4 peritoneal cancer, has begun chemotherapy. Despite the challenging battle ahead, she remains determined to face it with courage. Her resolve was on full display in a recent social media post, where Nafisa shared a photo of herself bald amid treatment.
Nafisa Ali shared a smiling selfie on Instagram, captioning it “Positive power.” Shortly after, actress Dia Mirza commented with a red heart emoji, while many other followers sent prayers and well-wishes for her speedy recovery.
Nafisa Ali Sodhi’s Grandchildren Became Her Support
Despite the challenges and discomfort of ongoing treatment, Nafisa Ali often shares uplifting glimpses of her journey. A few days ago, she posted a heartfelt message along with photos and videos showing her grandchildren helping her cope with chemotherapy-induced hair loss. The clips captured her little granddaughters gently cutting her hair with their tiny hands, turning a painful experience into a touching act of love and support. Sharing the moment, Nafisa wrote, “Finally, my little grandchildren helped me with my hair fall.”
Previously, in another update, the actress revealed that she was experiencing significant hair loss as a result of chemotherapy. She posted a photo with a comb and strands of her hair, captioned “Here goes my chemotherapy locks… Soon, I’ll be bald.”
Nafisa Ali was first diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in November 2018. By 2019, she had bravely declared that she had overcome the illness. Recently, however, the actress revealed that the cancer had relapsed, and she would be resuming treatment once again.
