Advocate Pramod Singh Tomar on behalf of the petitioner argued that the song used words like ‘Mamu’ for the judge, which tarnishes the image of the judiciary. Court issued notices to 8 people
Advocate Pramod Singh Tomar said that in the first hearing held on September 9 on a song of Jolly LLB 3, the High Court directed that the director, producer and actor should also be made a party. After this, on the application filed today, the Division Bench of Chief Justice has issued notices to 8 people, accepting objections to the song ‘Bhai Vakil’ filmed on the judge and lawyer.
These include Chief Secretary of State Government, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (Delhi), Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairperson, film director Subhash Kapoor, producer Alok Jain, Ajit, actor Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi.
Petition was also filed in Patna High Court
Earlier, advocate Neeraj Kumar also filed a petition against the film in Patna High Court. He said that the film’s profession and judiciary have been introduced derogatory in the film. He had demanded the Bar Council to make guidelines to seek permission and stop derogatory illustrations.
