Prime Minister Street Dealer Soul Nirper Fund (PM SWANidhi) The Union Cabinet has approved the extension and reconstruction of the project. The government’s decision will benefit 1.15 crore street merchants, including 50 lakh new beneficiaries, reports say. The scheme will continue to be implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs from March 31, 2030. The decision will cost a total of ₹ 7,332 crore in the state treasury.
Increased credit facility up to ₹ 90,000

– It is worth noting that this government plan requires the best credit history to benefit.
That is, if one apply for their business, he will get a loan of ₹ 15,000 first. After he repaid the loan within a certain period of time, they will qualify for the next installment of ₹ 25,000. Similarly, after repaying this loan, he will qualify for the final installment of ₹ 50,000. According to government data, as of July 30 and 2025, more than 68 lakh beneficiaries have received a total of over 96 lakh loans worth ₹ 13,797 crore. Approximately 47 lakh beneficiaries are digitally active, and more than 557 crore of transactions worth ₹ 6.09 lakh crore.
You can get a loan with Aadhaar card
This is a government -backed, uncontrolled loan scheme. This means that you do not need to provide any network to obtain a loan. You can easily get this loan by offering your Aadhaar card. All you have to do is to repay the loan in a timely manner. According to the project rules, the loan amount can be repaid within a year. There are also EMI payment options.
Rupay Credit Card: Rupay Credit Card also available
The government has made it clear that the beneficiaries of the PM Swanidhi scheme that will repay the second loan will also receive the UPI-connected Rupay credit card. This will help meet their business and personal financial needs. In addition, beneficiaries for retail and wholesale transactions will get up to ₹ 1,600 to promote digital allowance among small business owners. With this expansion, the government aims to expand the range of the project and strengthen financial support for small businesses.
