After having the name involved in polls of national and international clubs, 17 -year -old Robson Júnior chose to remain in Santos. Revealed by the base categories of the Vila Belmiro club, the striker even received a proposal from the Guildwhich provided for its use by the end of 2026 before a possible transfer to a Premier League team.
The gremista idea consisted of using the club as a bridge for European football, a scenario that quickly mobilized the Santos board. The player’s family showed dissatisfaction with the delay in initial dealings with the fish, considering accepting the transition plan presented by the gauchos. The warning was triggered internally, and the permanence of the promise was treated as an absolute priority.
From this, Santos leaders intensified negotiations with the athlete’s staff. Counselor Junior Bozzella, lawyer Guilherme Barbosa, linked to the base, and manager Gustavo Ferreira conducted the process. The trio presented to the family a detailed career plan, with perspective of visibility, inclusion in the professional cast and a more robust contractual bond. The action culminated in an agreement with validity by 2030.

Currently training with the main team under the command of Cleber Xavier, Robson has already been registered in the Brazilian Championship. Although it has not yet debuted, the young man accumulates good performances in the U-20 competitions and the São Paulo Cup. In fact, the attacker was “sponsored” by Neymarwhich has strong identification with the club and the trajectory of the athlete’s father, Robinho.
In addition to the financial proposal considered satisfactory, what weighed on the decision was the sports project presented. Santos would have reinforced the promise that the player will have real opportunities in the main team later this season.
