Century eclipse
Perhaps the promotion of these rumors can be a wonderful event to be held on August 2, 2027, which has been given the title of “Eclipse of the Century”.
That day, the moon will completely cover the sun for 6 minutes 22 seconds. This will be the longest time in terms of “completely covering the sun completely” on earth in the 21st century.
Earlier on April 8, 2024, during full solar eclipse in Mexico, America and Canada, the moon was covered for 4 minutes and 28 seconds. This is the longest period ever, which is expected to be broken in 2027.
Where will this amazing view see?
This full solar eclipse will be seen in parts of about 11 countries of North Africa and Middle East. These include Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia.
Meanwhile, partial solar eclipse will appear in most parts of Africa, Europe and South Asia. This will be normal in the rest of the world including North America.
Watching full solar eclipse is usually a great experience. There are some magnificent places from Tarifa located at the southern end of Spain to the beaches of Tunisia and Luxor filled with ancient Egyptian temples, where you can take a view of full solar eclipse.
But remember that this will happen in August 2027, not this year. There is no solar eclipse of any kind in August. The next solar eclipse will take place on 21 September. During this period, the Pacific Ocean (including Fiji, Tahiti and New Zealand) and Antarctica will be covered with up to 80% of the sun.
