The deadline to apply for 645 vacancies in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s (TNPSC) Group 2 and Group 2A services will end on 13 August 2025. Announced on 15 July, the recruitment drive includes 50 posts under Group 2 — such as assistant inspector, junior employment officer, probation officer, sub-registrar Grade-2, and forester — and 595 posts under Group 2A, including senior inspector in the dairy department, audit inspector in HR&CE, assistant in commercial tax, and senior revenue inspector in the revenue department.
An undergraduate degree is the minimum qualification, but applications have been pouring in from postgraduates and engineers as well. Over 4 lakh candidates are expected to apply, with thousands rushing before the deadline. TNPSC has allotted 18–20 August for application corrections.
The preliminary exam is scheduled for 28 September 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., consisting of 200 questions for 300 marks. Successful candidates will proceed to the main exam. Applications can be submitted at
