The updated Benelli Leoncino 250 has been spied testing in India and the launch is expected closer to the festive season.
Benelli has seen testing the new Leoncino 250 in India, hinting at its nearing launch date. The Benelli Leoncino 250 was sold in India until it was discontinued and carried a price tag of Rs 2.84 lakh, ex-showroom. Looking at the updated model being tested, looks like Benelli wants to get back to the quarter-litre segment with a scrambler.
New Benelli Leoncino 250 – What’s New?
The motorcycle spotted was under heavy camo, however, a few design elements are visible. Starting with the tank, it is more muscular compared to before and gets angular extensions, while the headlight has been redesigned along with the tail section, which looks stubbier.

That said, the motorcycle carries forward the same alloy wheel design, but the exhaust is new, which means there could be a change in the exhaust note compared to the model that was discontinued. The new Benelli Leoncino 250 retains its overall scrambler design and the small changes give the motorcycle a fresh look.
The motorcycle will carry forward its hardware that includes USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, ABS, LED lighting, and more. The engine will also likely to be the same, a 249 cc single-cylinder engine that makes 25bhp and 21Nm of torque with the help of a six-speed gearbox. The engine will be compliant with the OBD-2B emissions norms. The launch is expected to happen towards the festive season and when launched, expect the motorcycle to carry a slightly more expensive price tag.
