UPI users will soon be able to pay through face or fingerprint. According to media reports, NPCI is preparing to provide payment facility through NPCI biometric operating UPI. After this, the need for PIN to make UPI payment will be optional.

answer: Biometric payment will identify unique physical characteristics like fingerprint, face ID. It is more secure and easy than a PIN or password, as it is difficult to copy it. For example, you are able to unlock your smartphone through fingerprint and face ID.
Question 2: When will this facility start?
answer: National Payments Corporation of India i.e., NPCI is working on this update. They want UPI payment and safe and convenient. However, the exact date has not been announced. This update may appear in UPI apps in a few months.
