Vivo has officially confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated foldable smartphone, the X Fold 5, alongside the X200 FE in India. The company shared a teaser featuring both devices alongside a ‘Block Your Date’ message, confirming the much-anticipated event.
The launch brings Vivo’s foldable innovation back into focus, following the success of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The X Fold 5 is expected to compete directly with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Vivo X Fold 5 Expected Specifications
While the Indian version has not been fully detailed yet, it is expected to carry similar specifications to its Chinese counterpart.
- Battery and Charging: The device reportedly includes a 6000mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging support. Vivo claims the battery can deliver up to 80.6 hours of music playback on a full charge.
- Display and Design: The foldable is expected to feature a display with up to 4,500 nits of brightness. When folded, the phone may measure 9.2mm in thickness, and 4.3mm when unfolded, with a total weight of 217g.
- Camera System: Vivo is likely to include a Zeiss-branded camera setup, consisting of:

- A 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x hyper zoom

Vivo has confirmed that the X Fold 5 will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart. While the official pricing has not been announced, the device is expected to be priced around ₹1.59 lakh for the 16GB + 512GB variant.
